Ida-puukoristaja, Sitta europaea asiatica

Puukoristaja alamliik Kaug-Idast - ida-puukoristaja. Kuigi elupaigad algavad kesk-venemaalt ning ulatuvad Hiina ning Jaapanini, siis ei ole harv juhus, kui nad rändavad lääne poole ja koristavad ka Soome ning Rootsi metsasid. Tõenäoliselt on seda alamliiki sattunud ka Eestisse. Foto sai siiski tehtud levila teises servas - Senjōgahara platoo sooalal, Jaapanis.

The Eurasian nuthatch subspecies from the Far East—the Asian nuthatch. Although its habitat starts in central russia and extends to China and Japan, it is not uncommon for them to migrate westward and forage in the forests of Finland and Sweden. This subspecies has likely reached Estonia as well. However, this photo was taken at the other end of its range—in the wetlands of the Senjōgahara Plateau in Japan.
