Eestikeelse nimeta ronilind elutseb troopilises ja subtroopilises Ameerikas, kõrguste vahemikus 0-3500 meetrit merepinnast. Ta toitub peamiselt lülijalgsetest, kuid tema toidulauale kuuluvad ka väikesed selgroogsed. Nagu nimigi viitab, ronib lind mööda puude tüvesid ja oksi ning tuhlab läbi lehestikku, koort, surnud puitu, leheprahti jne. Foto sai tehtud Mindo pilvemetsas, Ecuadoris.

The strong-billed woodcreeper inhabits tropical and subtropical America, ranging in altitudes from 0 to 3500 meters above sea level. It feeds mostly on arthropods but its diet also includes small vertebrates. As the name suggest, the bird creeps up trunks and along limbs and probes foliage, bark, dead wood, leaf litter etc. The photo was taken in Mindo Cloud Forest, Ecuador.

Euraasia on ta kodupaik, kuid aegu tagasi viidi ta inimeste poolt ka Ameerika kontinendile ning nüüd tunneb ta end ka seal koduselt - Guatemalast Kanadani. The Eurasian Collared Dove is not a migratory bird, but it is found practically everywhere throughout the temperate and subtropical regions. Eurasia is its native habitat but it was also introduced to the American continent some time ago and now it feels at home there from Guatemala to Canada. The Galápagos sea lion is an endangered species that inhabits the Galápagos Islands and in small numbers also on a tiny island by the coast of Ecuador.
