Andi kondor on kõigi nende riikide rahvuslik sümbol, kus Andide mäestik
lookleb ning kahtlemata on see Andide folkloori ja mütoloogia üks väga
olulisi tegelasi. Ecuadoris on nende rahvuslindu alles vaid ligikaudu 100
isendit ning pildil on üks nendest. Kaamera ette jäi see majesteetlik lind
Antisana vulkaani kaitsealal.
Lõuna-Ameerika nurgast jagub siia blogisse päris mitmeks aastaks. Ecuadori
looduspildisaak ületas oluliselt kõikide varasemate reiside fotomahud.
Andean condor is the national symbol of all the states where Andean
mountain range lies and it is also a very important character in the
Andean folklore and mythology. In Ecuador there are only about 100
individuals left of their national bird and on the photo you can see one
of them. The photo was taken in Antisana Volcano Ecological Reserve.
As you can understand I managed to add another country - Ecuador - to my
travel portfolio and its astonishing natural diversity (rainforests of
Amazonia, cloud forests in central highlands, high mountains, tropical
desert on the coast and unique Galapagos islands) means that I'll post a
lot of photos in the coming years from this part of South America in this
blog. The volume of nature photos topped all of my previous travels by
far.
