Tarapunga-kajakas on üks nendest liikidest, kes lähemal uurimisel on
endeemse eraldiseisva liigi staatusest ilma jäänud. Terased linnuteadlased
Tai-o-Aorere ehk Tasmani lahe madalas rannikuvees, Uus-Meremaal.
Red-billed Gull is one of those species that has lost its endemic and
separate species status when the scientists started looking more
closely. They discovered that it is very similar to the Australian
silver gull and just like that tarapunga became a subspecies of that
bird. The gull on the photo does not look that it agrees with that
injustice. Te Tai-o-Aorere / Tasman Bay, New Zealand.
