Rohupart, Chenonetta jubata

Need 3 pilti on mul ooterežiimis seisnud nüüd juba peaaegu 7 aastat. Ning seda sel lihtsal põhjusel, et ma ei suutnud liiki ära tuvastada. Ainuke kandidaat välimuse alusel oli rohupart, kuid see part elutseb ainult Austraalias, aga pildid on tehtud hoopis Burgundias, Prantsusmaal. Ning ühtki viidet, et mõni hulkur oleks ka Euroopasse jõudnud, ma ei leidnud. Kuni selle aasta kevadeni. Juhuslikult jäi silma üks artikkel, kus kirjeldatakse rohupardi vaatlusi Suurbritannias ja ka mujal Lääne-Euroopas, mistõttu julgen nüüd pildid ka üles laadida. Kuna Euroopas on endiselt tegemist suure haruldusega, on see tõesti suur üllatus, et ta minusugusele turistile Burgundias objektiivi ette jäi.

These 3 photos have been in my blog waiting list for almost 7 years and just because I could not identify the species. Australian wood duck was the only candidate but this duck can be found only in, you guessed it, Australia. But the photos were taken in Burgundy, France and I did not find any information about sightings in Europe. Until this spring. Then I saw accidentally an article that was talking about Australian wood duck sightings in Great Britain and other western European countries therefore now I have confidence to upload the photos in my blog. It is still a big rarity in Europe therefore it is a big surprise that a tourist like myself was able to capture some shots of the duck.
