The main activity of Lesson's motmot or Blue-diademed Motmot is to sit silently on a shady spot and wait for the prey. Its plumage, though, is not really adapted for this kind of behaviour. Instead of being a greenish-brown bird, this motmot is really colourful. The photo was taken in Curi-Cancha Reserve in Monteverde cloud forest, Costa Rica.
