Perepilt. Meie puukoristajast mõnevõrra kogukam ronilind, kellel koduvillast nime kahjuks pole. Elutseb ta madalamates piirkondades (reeglina mitte kõrgemal kui 1 km) ning elupaiga eelistuseks on niisked metsad ja puudega lagendikud. Sarnaselt puukoristajale, saalib see lind samuti puutüvedel ringi ning urgitseb oma pika nokaga koore ja samblike vahelt erinevaid putukaid. Fotod tehtud Sarapiqui oru vihmametsas, Costa Ricas.

Family photo. Streak-headed Woodcreeper or Souleyet's Woodcreeper is a bit bigger than European nuthatch. It is found in lowlands, normally below 1000 m and the bird prefers damp light woodland and clearings with trees. Similar to nuthatch, this woodcreeper is moving up and down the trees and using its long beak for finding different insects from lichen and under the bark. The photos are taken in the rainforest of Sarapiqui valley, Costa Rica.
