Linnu ladinakeelse nime teine pool tähendab "sarnane", mis tuleneb
sellest, et sellise välimusega linde on mitmeid. Tume pea, valge
kulmutriip, pruunikas selg ja kollane kõhualune on Ameerika
kärbsenäppide hulgas üsna levinud "look". Osade puhul on sarnasus nii
suur, et puhtalt välimuse järgi polegi liiki võimalik ära määrata (siis

As the specific epithet similis (Latin for "the similar one")
indicates, this Social Flycatcher looks much like its close relatives.
The dark head, strong white eyestripe, brownish upperparts and yellow
underparts are quite common look among American flycatchers. In some
cases these are all but indistinguishable from appearance alone (then
you have to rely on the song, location etc.) The photos are taken
in Sarapiqui valley, Costa Rica.
