Jõgivästrik, Motacilla cinerea

Jõgivästrik, Motacilla cinerea, Grey Wagtail
Jõgivästrik on Eestis üsna haruldane lind, kuid kevad-suviti võib teda siiski hea õnne korral kohata.
Grey Wagtail is quite a rare bird in Estonia but if you are lucky, you can meet him in spring or summer. Their habitat is by the fast-flowing rivers and if a piece of river has been selected as home, it shall be protected fiercely against other conspecifics. Even so furiously that sometimes they try to drown the competitor.

Harjumaa.
This grey wagtail had no such problems at that time. Instead he enjoyed the sunshine and sometimes even laid down on its side on the warm stones as you can see from the last image. It is possible that in this way it dried its feathers, but it was a weird sight. Harjumaa, Estonia.
