Tõmmu-sultantait ehk pukeko on Uus-Meremaal väga levinud lind ning
selle põhjuseks on asjaolu, et linnule sobib trend, kus mets muutub
põllumaaks. Pukeko toitub taimedest (oras, kasvud, seemned, lehed,
juurviljad jne) ning mida rohkem on põldusid, seda rohkem on süüa. Fotod

Australasian Swamphen or pukeko is very common in New Zealand as the
bird has benefitted greatly from the clearing of land for agriculture.
It feeds mainly on plants (stems, shoots, leaves, seeds, vegetables etc)
and the more there are fields, the more there is food. The photos are
taken in Abel Tasman National Park, New Zealand.
