Euploea tulliolus koxinga, Dwarf crow

See eestikeelse nimeta liblikas elutseb Kagu-Aasias ning Australaasias. Tänu sellele, et päikese käes hakkavad liblika tumedad tiivad sillerdama, kutsutakse teda näiteks nii inglise kui hiina keeles ka purpurliblikaks. Koos mitmete teiste liikidega rändab see liblikas Taiwanis talvituma Maolini orgu (kus on ka see foto tehtud) ning tippajal võib seal ringi lendamas näha sadu tuhandeid tiivulisi. 

Dwarf crow is found in Australasia and SE Asia and due to the purple iridescence of the butterfly under sunlight, the butterfly is also commonly referred to as the purple crow. Together with other butterfly species in Taiwan, dwarf crow migrates to Maolin valley (where this photo is also taken) to spend the winter and at its peak period you can see there hundreds of thousands of butterflies flying around.
