Lummavalt kaunis Franz Josefi liustik Uus-Meremaal, maooride keeles on
paiga nimi Kā Roimata o Hine Hukatere (Hine Hukatere pisarad). Austria

Stunningly beautiful Franz Josef Glacier in New Zealand, it's
called Kā Roimata o Hine Hukatere (the tears of Hine Hukatere) in maori.
Name of the Austrian emperor was given to the glacier by the german
explorer von Haast that was the first european that thoroughly hiked in
this region. Maori name comes from the legend where Hine Hukatere and
her lover, Wawe, loved to climb the mountains but at one point Wawe was
swept away by an avalanche to his death. Hine Hukatere was
broken-hearted and her many, many tears flowed down the mountain and
        froze to form the glacier.
