Fotod tehtud
Pärnumaa soisel rannaniidul.
Little Ringed Plover is couple of centimetres smaller than its bigger
realtive
ringed plover and it is also rarer in Estonia. The usual distinction between
the species is the clear yellow eye-ring (that little plover has) but
in juveniles that does not help much as the eye-ring is much duller.
In that case leg colour and the head pattern help to identify the
bird. The photos are taken in a marshy coastal meadow in Pärnumaa,
Estonia.
