Troopiline ämblik, Tropical spider

Ligikaudu poolemeetrise läbimõõduga võrgud metsa all ja igaühe keskel üks kirju ämblik - selline oli vaatepilt, mida nägin ühel varahommikul puudesalus, Kariibi mere kaldal, Costa Ricas. Mõni ämblik oli suurem, mõni väiksem, aga võrke oli selles salus palju. Väga palju. Ühele ruutmeetrile mahtus neid mitu tükki, mistõttu kõndimine väljaspool rada oleks olnud võimatu. Nets that were almost half a meter in diameter and in the centre of each and every one was a colorful spider - this was a sight I witnessed in an early morning walk in the forest by the Caribbean Sea in Costa Rica. Some spiders were bigger, some were smaller, but there were a lot of nets in that patch of forest. In one square meter were at least four or five nets, therefore walking outside the paths would have been impossible. Unless you wanted wraps made of spiderweb around your trousers.
