Laulu-kuningkalur on levinud Ameerika kontinendi troopilises osas ning
tegemist on omasuguste seas üsna suure linnuga (kuni 30 cm pikk). Nagu
kuningkalurite (sh meie enda jäälinnu) puhul ikka, kaevatakse pesa mõne
kõrgema jõekalda sisse. Tunnel võib olla kuni 1,6 meetri pikkune ning
valmis uuristatakse see 3-7 päevaga. Fotol emaslind, Caño Negro

Amazon Kingfisher is found in the tropics of American continent and
it is quite big in size compared to its peers (up to 30 cm long). As
with the other kingfishers, the nest is a horizontal tunnel made
in a river bank. It can be up to 1.6 m long and is burrowed out in 3-7
days. On the photo you can see a female bird in Caño Negro
