Taas uus tulija blogis - rangelt looduskaitse all olev rabapistrik. Varasemalt ei ole ta pildile jäänud seetõttu, et teda leidub Eestis ülivähe (arvatakse, et siin pesitseb alla 5 paari) ning juhtumisi on tegemist ka linnuga, kelle käes on lindude-loomade kiiruse maailmarekord. Rabapistrik suudab taevast saagi poole laskuda üle 300 kilomeetrise tunnikiirusega, tippkiiruseks on mõõdetud 389 km/h. See noorlind jäi aga kaamera ette Saaremaal, rahulikult oksal istumas.
Another newcomer to this blog - (in Estonia) highly threatened peregrine falcon. I have not had the opportunity to capture a photo of it for two reasons - first of all it is estimated that less than 10 pairs nest in Estonia and secondly this falcon happens to hold a world speed record of all the birds and animals. Peregrine falcon is able to make a high-speed dive reaching over 300 km/h and the highest speed recorded is 389 km/h. But this juvenile bird sat quite calmly on a branch on Saaremaa island, Estonia.
