Lõuna-türanntikat on julge ja jõuline tegelane. Kui sellele territooriumile, mida lind peab enda omaks, satub mõni teine tiivuline, ajab türanntikat ta resoluutselt minema. Isegi kui see teine lind on temast mitu korda suurem või on tegemist üldsegi röövlinnuga - kõik saavad ühtemoodi "kolki". Tegelikult vaatab tikat ka fotograafi üsna kahtlustava pilguga... Tropical Kingbird is a brave and a firm character. It chases away any other bird from the territory it considers its own. Even if the other avian is several times larger or if it is even a raptor - everyone gets a fair share of the "beating". Actually the kingbird looks even at the photographer quite suspiciously... The photo is taken on a pasture, in the heart of Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, Costa Rica.
