Savanni-sarvnokk on suur sõber mangustidega. Ta hoiatab loomi vaenlase lähenemise eest (ka nende eest, kes lindu ennast ei ohusta) ning nad jagavad suuresti ka toidulauda. Päris üheskoos nad küll sitikaid ei söö, kuid sarvnokk pigem ei varasta mangustide toitu. Krugeri rahvuspark, LAV.
Red-billed hornbill is a good friend with mongooses. The mongooses benefit from the warning calls that the hornbills give when a raptor is near (even if this predator is not dangerous to the bird itself) and they also eat the same things. Not that they share the critters with each other but the hornbill usually does not steal from mongooses. Kruger National Park, South Africa.
